Imperfect Dotted Hanging Planter
This listing is for a Dotted Planter with a minor defect - The bowl is slightly warped so instead of being completely round, it's on the way to triangular. The defect is not very noticeable once hung. See images 2 - 5!
A collaboration with Montreal ceramicist Wai-Yant Li, this hanging planter combines recycled leather, hand thrown porcelain and brass hardware for a marriage of simplicity and elegance.
hand thrown ceramic planter is ~ 8 inches wide and about 5 inches deep
glazed interior, unglazed exterior.
3.5 feet long from top of loop to bottom point on pot. Some leather has a wee bit more stretch than another so may stretch an extra inch.
leather straps are ~ 1/2 inch wide, with a 3 inch loop at the top, hand cut from vegetable tanned leather in a peachy blush tone.

HOW DO I USE AND CARE FOR THIS ITEM?
Handle with dry, clean hands. Your plant hanger come with removable solid brass hardware, which allows you to remove the straps for easy potting-up and/or cleaning. Unscrew the brass bowls to remove your straps, pot up your plant, clean up, re-attach, and hang! We recommend a layer of rocks in the bottom of the pot, for drainage, or simply place your plant in a plastic pot with holes in the bottom, and then place inside the bowl. Planter (without straps) can be cleaned by hand or in a dishwasher. Dry before reattaching the straps.
HOW WAS THIS ITEM MADE?
Each planter has been hand thrown on a pottery wheel by Montreal ceramicist Wai-Yant Li of Li Creations, detailed by hand and glazed on the interior surface. The straps are hand cut from leather and attached to the planter with solid brass screw posts. Made by us in our studio, located on the traditional territory of the Anishinabewaki ᐊᓂᔑᓈᐯᐗᑭ and Omàmìwininìwag (Algonquin).
WHAT IS INCLUDED:
You will receive the exact plant hanger shown in images 2-4, with peachy hued leather straps. The plants and other objects shown in the images are for display purposes and are not included with the item.
