HOW DO I CARE FOR THIS ITEM?
If using a pot with a drainage hole, make sure to use a saucer to catch any excess water. Wipe spills immediately. Shelf can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap, being careful to avoid wetting the cord.
Please ensure your hanger hangs from a ceiling or wall hook that has been properly installed - either into a wall stud, ceiling joist, or appropriate anchor for your wall or ceiling material (We are big fans of E-Z brand self tapping anchors for drywall).
HOW WAS THIS ITEM MADE?
PICKLE FORKS
These hors d'oeuvres forks are made from the tiniest wood scraps that even the most stingy wood worker would burn. We cut the organic shape by following each scrap's grain pattern on a scroll saw. They are then rough shaped on the belt sander before being riveted with a decorate piece of solid copper, recycled from electrical wiring, which is carefully hammered into the stem of the fork. The forks are progressively refined through multiple sanding grits to their final form. The sharp tines are hand filed and sanded to a silky smooth and spear-worthy finish. Once done, we sun tan them until the cherry deepens to its final deep rose hue. As with all our wooden utensils, these are de-whiskered, re-sanded and polished with superfine steel wool between coats of food safe finish to create a satiny smooth and durable finish.
This item was made by our own hands in our studio, located on the traditional territory of the Anishinabewaki ᐊᓂᔑᓈᐯᐗᑭ and Omàmìwininìwag (Algonquin).
